Hi!! I am vhsmaxx, and I'm the one behind Zach and Sammy. I came up with this story in about the spring of 2024. I started drawing for it, but I wasn't that happy with the story and I stopped working on it after like 15 pages (because I was mostly making it up as I went along lol). I recently picked it back up, reworked and fleshed out the characters n story, and just started drawing it in an old notebook I have. As of uploading the first page onto this site, the story (as rough sketches in my notebook) is already finished and I know exactly what happens ehehe... I upload new pages as I digitally make the finished versions.

Story
This webcomic is a YA drama with many elements of tragedy about the consequences of unchecked love, mental illness, guilt, selfishness, and the difference between reasoning and justification. The story follows the neighbors Zach and Sammy after Zach kills his mom on his 15th birthday and decides to get Sammy unknowingly involved. They choose to tresspass into a nearby forest to try to run away from their problems, but it only leads to more.
